Music at Stone-Robinson Elementary
Music is a part of each child's experience at Stone-Robinson Elementary. They progress from exploratory-themed classes in the younger grades to highly structured pedagogy in the upper grades.
Kindergarten and first grade receive 45 minutes of music class each week.
Grades 2-5 receive one hour of music each week. In these classes, children sing, dance, create, play instruments, and participate in ensembles. Recorder instruction starts in fourth grade, and continues in fifth grade. Students begin band and orchestra instruments in middle school.
